Highland Light in Truro - also known as "Cape Cod Light" - is one of the most historic, as well as most-often-pictured, lighthouses on Cape Cod. Here, painted close-up and looking skyward on a hot summer day, the height of the soaring light is slightly exaggerated and the intense heat of the afternoon is reflected through both the brilliant white, sun-lit shell of the light and the open window of the house that seeks to capture what little breeze was stirring atop the Truro dune.
